There comes a time each semester that I go absolutely insane. This time is formally called "Finals Week". However, this is tragically a misnomer. The fact of the matter is that finals is generally at least a two week period that I like to call "The week from hell that never ended".

 

Amid all these insane finals, there is constant snow currently. Which is quite beautiful, looking out at it from my nice cozy bedroom. It really is beautiful to look at, but to treck all the way across campus in it is a different story entirely. Not fun. This is the time of year when my old dance pants get some use again. Not from dancing, mind you, much as I'd prefer, but more in the fashion of long underwear.....to be worn beneath jeans or khakis for added warmth against the blizzard that is my life.

 

Yes, that's right, I just said my life is a blizzard. True story. It appears to be calm and quiet, but when you actually get out in it you realize its freaking cold and there's not a lot you can do about it. Just wait it out.

 

And just to clarify, I'm not just "waiting out" my life. I'm living it. The comparison above is simply to illustrate an observation I just made. My life is intense, and has many facets. Right now I feel like I've slipped on ice, and I'm clambering back to my feet. Like I'm almost there, but not quite. So close, and yet at the same time, I'm so far away.
